Enjoy a peaceful and relaxing holiday in one of the most beautiful and secluded locations on the island of Bali. The villas are part of a small waterside enclave of just 7 private houses, slightly over one hours’ drive from Bali’s international airport. All villas are owner managed, by a group of like-minded individuals who support philanthropic initiatives; locally, island wide, and nationally; including The East Bali Poverty Project and Habitat for Humanity Indonesia.
Villa Gils - 3 Bedroom Villa
Master Suite
Located on the second level of the main bale, the master suite consists of an air-conditioned double bedroom. The ensuite bathroom has indoor and outdoor facilities. A large living area overlooks the beach and adjoining coconut grove. With gentle sea breezes, under the alang alang roof, you may never want to venture downstairs.
Guest Bedrooms
In a sperate bale there are two double bedrooms. Both feature private verandas, ensuite bathrooms with outdoor shower, and air-conditioning.
Living Area
With the kitchen as the focus of this large open plan room, there are two living areas on either side. Imagine the kids at one end watching a DVD, while the adults relax at the other, sipping a local beer or an exotic cocktail. Without external walls, the living areas benefit from ocean breezes and allow the essences of Bali permeate the villa.
Swimming Pool
A state of the art 25 meter lap pool fronts the main and guest bales. Step out of your bedroom straight into the pool, or just enjoy the ambiance of watching the water lap at the wet edge. There is also a wading pool for those who can’t swim.
Outside Dining
A bale is located on the other side of the pool - perfect for outdoor dining. Breakfast is served there whenever you require it. Your lunch & dinner can also be served at the bale if you prefer private villa dining rather than the small communal "Timur@DuaGils" Restaurant.
Day-bed Bale
Separate from the main house, at the end side of the pool, the covered day-bed is just the place to chill out. Large enough for 2 plus people, it is the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing massage, read a book, or have the obligatory afternoon nap.
Staff
There are 6 full time staff to help you enjoy your stay. Wayan manages the Villa, and will meet with you daily to help plan your day.
Situated in the small village of Mandira, located just before Candi Dasa you will find An East Bali Villa: your secluded, private piece of paradise known as Villa Gils. With the completion of the “very fast road” from Denpasar, it is an hour and fifteen minutes from the airport.
Perfectly situated in the Home of the Kings of Bali, the Regency of Karangasem, the village is overlooked by Mt Agung, Bali’s most sacred and highest volcano.
The villa is situated in a small enclave of just seven houses, surrounded by coconut and banana groves.
Villa Gils is located one house back from the water, on either side of the lane. There is a walkway that provides access for all, to the water and very private beach.
The villa is fully staffed, and twenty four hour security is provided - just in case you need a cup of tea in the middle of the night!
